TOP Coffee Shops in Victoria

If you are a coffee lover and are living in or visiting Victoria, you are definitely in the right place. The coffee culture here is AMAAAZING. Ever since I moved to Victoria, noticed that local coffee shops serve delicious, high quality coffee.

We asked our community what their favourite coffee shop is, and here are the results:

Discovery Coffee

Founded in 2006, Discovery Coffee hand select green beans from farmers all over the world and roast them in-house. By roasting in small batches and pairing beans to specific brew methods, they introduce us to new coffees and unique brews every day. With 6 locations and their own donut company: Yonnis doughnuts, this coffee shop is a must try in Victoria.

Coffee and Cream

Union Pacific Coffee

Located in the historical Chinatown area of Victoria, Union Pacific Cafe is a cozy space with a warm heritage feel. One of the best parts of Union Pacific is the amazing patio that backs out into Dragon Alley. They serve JJ Bean Coffee, one of the best in British Columbia. If you haven’t been, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Habit Coffee

No wifi. If you are meeting someone, reading a book or studying, Habit is the right place to do so. Plus, their coffee is always good! They serve Bows and arrows coffee, which is roasted in a vintage Probat roaster, carefully monitoring every batch. Definitely worth going to try out either location. Sustainability is very important to them – both locations are carbon neutral.

Hey Happy Coffee

Currently closed for renovations, always looking for different ways to improve, Hey Happy coffee is one of the local’s favourites. It may be because they focus on the details. We love how they see coffee as a complex beverage, how they partner with local businesses and much more. What we really like about Hey Happy, is that they partner not only with one, but many high quality coffee roasters.

2% Jazz Coffee

This coffee shop began their journey as an outdoor kiosk in 1996, and now, with 2 locations, they roast their own coffee, travel the world to select the highest quality and direct trade beans. We are proud to have them in Victoria, and are really obsessed with their drinks, not only coffee, but their london fog is amazing too! The shop is fun, the staff is great and if you walk by while they are roasting their beans, it smells amazing! They even have a blog where they share their experiences, their beans story and coffee education.
