Happy hour is the perfect time to unwind and share a glass of wine, a fun cocktail, or a bubbly brew with friends, family, and coworkers alike. At Tasting Victoria we love a good happy hour and so do our Tasting Victoria readers! With their votes we were able to put together the top three happy hour spots in Victoria. It was a tough choice with so many thriving and unique bars and restaurants to enjoy. Read on to discover the top three places in Victoria for the latest and greatest drinks to enjoy!

The Tapa Bar

An eclectic and classy ambience, filled with the sounds of buzzing conversations. The Tapa Bar hosts happy hour with a twist, taking inspiration and flavour from the popular tapa style of dining in Spain. The unique and inviting atmosphere is why our Tasting Victoria readers chose this restaurant as their number one place for happy hour in Victoria.

This restaurant makes for the most fun evenings out with friends and or family. The Tapa Bar is perfectly situated under the bright strung lights of Trounce Alley. Even with the cooler days and evenings you can enjoy The Tapa bar outside on their heated patio. Try a classic happy hour sangria or one of the many other drinks and food specials offered daily from 3pm to 5pm for Tapa Bar’s happy hour.
620 Trounce Alley

Situated under the ever magically lit Trounce Alley is the intimate and refined Bodega, Tapa Bar’s sister restaurant. The Spanish menu is a favourite among the people of Victoria and our second place winner among the best happy hour spots in Victoria, voted by our Tasting Victoria readers.

This ever-popular restaurant along Broad Street features a diverse selection of boards, tapas, salads, sandwiches, and more. When it comes to drinks you’ll find Bodega has a selection that’s filled with creative cocktails to entice any happy hour lover. It’s also not often that you will come across a sherry drink menu at a restaurant, but Bodega features one that will excite sherry lovers and intrigue those who have never tried sherry. Enjoy their happy hour any day of the week from 3pm to 5pm.
1210 Broad St.

The Courtney Room

Find a two-hour escape any day of the week with The Courtney Room’s happy hour. This lush and refined restaurant offers drinks and meals that are both bold and creative. We asked our readers to vote for their favourite happy hour spots and The Country Room at third place is a well deserved pick.

Not only does this restaurant focus on the cuisine of the Pacific Northwest and its vast expanse of ingredients, but The Courtney Room also has a great selection of wines. The wine list is sourced from across British Columbia and around the globe, so you can enjoy an international offering alongside craft beer and classic cocktails.  A host of delectable bites from the happy hour food menu will pair well with your beverage of choice from 4pm to 6pm at The Courtney Room.
619 Courtney St.

We encourage you to support your favourite restaurants by dining in or ordering takeout—and, of course, try new ones! Let us know what you think by emailing, or reach out on social media at @tastingvictoria.
