Bar 500 eatery is a new and distinct restaurant located at 500 Oswego in James Bay. Southern Italian inspired, with an innovative and global influence, Bar 500 Eatery showcases local and sustainable products, true cocktails, smart wines and Whistle Buoy draught. Professional and passionate staff, led by talented chef Josh Cocca, master mixologist Mark Roeric and sommelier Daryl Drainville make Bar 500 Eatery the new go-to hot spot in James Bay.
Bar 500 Eatery’s menu is based on using traditional Southern Italian methods but with local and modern ingredients. Multiple gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are included on every menu. Chef Cocca was a vegan for many years, and creates truly special dishes.
The Covid-19 pandemic has also brought a pivot, where Bar 500 Eatery will be offering a new takeaway menu, based on food that maintains its quality throughout the delivery process.
Their brunch menu has everything from Chickpea Crepes to Chicken & Waffles. Dinner options include a Beet Tartare, Carbonara Deviled Eggs, Risotto and more. Their cocktail selection is incredible… They have a Cereal Milk Shaft, made with Corn Pop infused Almond Milk!
