Here are 10 of our favourite restaurants that’ll take a load off the cooking for you.

Q at the Empress

Enjoy a decadent three-course Thanksgiving dinner from the Q at the Empress.Start off with a savoury French soup—a parsnip and vanilla veloute with poached pear, brioche crouton, and chive oil—and let that set the table for the main course: a Fraser Valley turkey breast and leg stuffed with dried fruit and sage. On the side? Whipped Yukon gold potatoes, roasted vegetables, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Then, top it off with a maple pumpkin pie with a classic spiced pumpkin custard, maple marshmallow meringue, and cranberry confit.

Haus Sausage Company

Feed the whole family with this full course dinner. No need for debate either, since Haus Sausage Company is giving you both a maple rosemary brined turkey roll and hickory smoked ham. On the side, you’ll get an herb and apricot stuffing with garlic mashed potato and charred brussels sprout salad. For sauces, you get the classics: gravy, mustard, and a sour cherry cranberry sauce. Dessert will feature a surprise guest from GoodSide Bakery. Our guess? The pumpkin mousse.

Pickup is on Sunday, Oct. 9 between 1-4pm, and is $200 per meal.

The Courtney Room

This three-course Thanksgiving meal from the Courtney Room gives you all the creature comforts you need on turkey day.

Start with Working Culture’s delectable bread and enjoy your choice of three starters—a radicchio and roasted squash salad (gluten free and vegan), an apple and marmalade porchetta, or a blood orange, pumpkin seed, and scallop escabeche (like a gazpacho or cold soup).

Save room for the main course with either a classic roasted turkey dinner with bacon stuffing, pomme puree (mashed potatoes with heavy cream), and butternip parsnip. If you’re not fond of turkey this year, try one of three other options: a gluten-free charcoal steelhead with a potato and dandelion salad, a vegan squash pasta agnolotti, or a beef tenderloin with duck fat rosti, carrots and pickled mushroom.

To close it off, choose between two desserts: the spiced gateau—a squash and pecan layer cake—or a pear baba—a sweet enriched dough, soaked in rum with vanilla bean cream.

10 Acres

The Snug Pub at Oak Bay Beach Hotel

Walk in and enjoy the Snug Pub’s full turkey dinner with a traditional roast turkey, sage and sausage stuffing, whipped potatoes and roasted vegetables. Drizzle a thyme gravy over the plate to bring it all home then satisfy your sweet tooth with a pumpkin tiramisu with dark chocolate, mascarpone, and fall spices.

The Snug operates on a first come, first serve basis and does not take reservations.

Fireside Grill

Simple, easy, and delicious: Fireside is offering a simply amazing three-course pairing for this Thanksgiving weekend.Start with a bacon and butternut squash soup with added maple syrup and cream. The main course is a classic: roasted turkey with sundried tomato, cranberry, and sage stuffing. The plate rounds out with garlic mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, and roasted vegetables. The Arbutus Room at Brentwood Bay Resort

You can have turkey in a few different ways, like a turkey roulade: a stuffed turkey roll. At the Arbutus Room it’s filled with lemon, herb, and a cranberry orange chutney.This Thanksgiving, you can order the turkey roulade with apple and sage stuffing, herb roasted baby carrots, brussels sprouts, and herb and sweet potato mash.
