BC CrabFest returns this summer with a new downtown Victoria location

Crab boils, coastal vibes, and community stories will take centre stage at Ship Point this June

Get your bibs ready because BC CrabFest is back, and it’s moving into Victoria’s Inner Harbour for its most exciting year yet. On Sunday, June 29, from 11 am to 7 pm, Ship Point will transform into a seaside celebration of BC’s coast: incredible seafood, vibrant local culture, and the hard-working fishing families who make it all possible.

Guests can pre-purchase a BC Dungeness CrabBoil Bucket online and select a convenient one-hour pickup window: Picture a bucket of freshly caught crab, mussels, and prawns—all sourced directly from BC’s own waters—with potatoes, corn, and warm local bread, drenched in house seasoning and melted butter. These sell out fast, so plan ahead.

But CrabFest isn’t just about the food. It’s a full-day festival for all ages, with live music, craft drinks, and an interactive Seaside Family Zone featuring face painting, bubbles, water play, and artistic fun with Birdhouse Creative Studio. Meanwhile, the Education Market invites curious minds to learn about sustainable seafood, ocean health, and the stories behind our coastal harvest.

VIP long-table dinner

New this year, a VIP long-table dinner will take place the night before, on Saturday, June 28, hosted under a glowing tent on the pier. Guests can enjoy a curated menu by Savour the Wild, stories from the fishers themselves, and a more intimate take on this beloved festival.

Festival Programming Highlights

Throughout the day, the main stage will host a mix of live musical performances, chef demos, and fisher storytelling sessions. Expect everything from upbeat coastal tunes and acoustic sets to engaging panels on Indigenous fishing traditions, marine conservation, and cooking demos.
