Come explore The Strathcona Hotel’s newest venue, Wicket Hall!

After over a year of waiting, The Strathcona Hotel’s newest venue, Wicket Hall, is opening its doors to the public.

In the midst of a global pandemic, with so few people being able to go out and enjoy themselves, the Strathcona Hotel decided that it was the perfect time to renovate its largest venue space. With a capacity of over 500 people, Wicket Hall is the largest venue on the property. It has had many renditions at this historic location: Distrikt, 9 ONE 9, Element, Legends, the New Forge, the Forge, and of course, the Old Forge. But none of them could hold a candle to Wicket Hall.

Wicket Hall is going to be featuring a state-of-the-art golf simulator for guests to play, similar to the volleyball court on the Rooftop. This is sure to liven up any office party or birthday celebration, plus it can be used rain or shine all year round! The Strath hopes to fill up the venue with fun events geared toward a variety of people. Events that are already taking form include a Birthday Celebration, for anyone who turned 19 in the midst of the pandemic, and an Island Craft Festival, for those who love beer, cider, and spirits. With more events in the works, anything is possible with this newly imagined space.
