Dumpling Drop opens its doors in Victoria’s Chinatown
Dumpling Drop has opened its doors in Victoria’s Chinatown.
Toom and Tarn, the mother-daughter duo behind the eatery, took over the former location of Cafe Bliss at 556A Pandora Avenue, offering up handmade frozen dumplings to make at home, or enjoy freshly fried if you’re dining in.
Their current menu offers Pork Belly, Shrimp & Chive, Spicy Ginger Beef, Lemongrass Chicken, Lamb & Shiitake, and Vegan dumplings. Their house made chili oil and cucumber salad are a must try.
Dumpling Drop started in 2019 as a family gathering to help out with Toom’s Alzheimer, and it rapidly took off. Doing frozen deliveries on one side, Dumpling Drop did pop-ups around town as well, which were super popular and saw them selling out quick.
Today, Tarn, Toom, Emily, and their team continue to make dumplings using traditional methods all while adding a modern flare.
Find their offerings online, and keep an eye on their social channels to find out their hours.
