Experience a taste of the island at Stillhead Distillery
Nestled in the heart of the Cowichan Valley in Duncan, Stillhead Distillery opened its doors in October of 2017. Founded by the Colebank family, husband and wife team Erica and Brennan, along with parents Christal and Ron, the distillery is roughly 45 minutes north of Victoria.
After working 15 years in the tech industry, Brennan moved on to pursue his dream career blending the two things he loved most: chemistry and whisky. Five years later, the Stillhead team has grown from a family of four to a team of nine plus, with each year producing new and additional internationally award-winning spirits, as well as increased sales and territories, with even more room to grow.
Their vision at Stillhead is to embody the essence of island living in the brand, and all their spirits. Wild, handpicked Island blackberries, locally farmed rhubarb, and award-winning Cowichan Valley wine barrels are just some of the ways they express terroir in their spirits. Proud to be inclusive, fun, and passionate about all things clear spirits and whisky, Stillhead loves great spirits, great company, and great community.
Some of their expressive Vancouver Island spirits include: Blackberry Gin and Blackberry Vodka, Rhubarb Gin, Blueberry Gin, London Dry Gin, Apple Brandy, and their flagship rye, bourbon style, and single malt whiskies. Each barrel of whisky is hand selected to be paired with rare and unique finishing casks like 25 year old Port casks and 20 year old Madeira casks from Portugal, white wine casks from the Cowichan Valley and Hungary, once used bourbon barrels from Kentucky, and even heavily peated casks from a 200 year old, world famous distillery in Scotland.
No matter what is tried, the experience will leave you with a taste of the island. Stillhead Distillery is open year round for complimentary tastings and different tour experiences.
You can find Stillhead Distillery at Stillhead.ca and 5301 Chaster Rd #105, Duncan.
