Jucee Health Bar opens in Victoria

Looking for the best new restaurants in Victoria? Check out what people voted for in the 2022 Best Restaurants sponsored by Portofino Bakery.

Jucee is a health food bar specializing in vegan smoothies, bowls, and drinks and opened in April 2022 at 701 Belleville Street in a new building across from The Old Spaghetti Factory.  Similar to their original Nanaimo location, Jucee shares the space with Pedego Electric Bikes.

This takeaway-style bar space has bar seating and a nice outdoor casual patio a mere stone’s throw from landmarks like the Royal BC Museum, and the Rose Garden at the Empress Hotel. It is ideal for someone who is looking for a healthy smoothie-style breakfast or lunch, or for those looking for vegan drink options on the go.

When you visit you will see many locally sourced products from British Columbia, including Victoria’s very own Singing Bowl Granola which is used in many of their bowls or can be purchased on its own.  Other notable products they carry and use include Drumroaster Coffee, Island Nut Roastery butter, Hornby Organic bars, and Rain City Teas.

We tried out their Magic City smoothie with your choice of vegan protein, kale, matcha, banana, and dates, and lightly sweetened with honey (or maple syrup).

Their Rockstar bowl with tropical blended base smoothie topped with banana, kiwi, strawberries, coconut shavings, honey, black lava sea salt, and bee pollen.

Their Glow Up bowl which is noted as “IG worthy” includes a Jucee blended smoothie based topped with blueberries, granola, hemp seeds, chia seeds, cacao nibs, and goji berries.

They also carry an array of rotating baked goods that are made in Vancouver, including banana bread, lemon loaf, and a breakfast cookie to name a few.

If you are looking for your next spot to get you into the summer spirit with bright, colourful, healthy food, make sure to check them out any day of the week from 9am – 7pm.   Check them out on Instagram at @stayjucee to keep up to date with hours, offerings, and imminently anticipated Buddha bowls and wraps to round out their menu.
