Bask in a summer picnic experience like no other with ‘Lunch on the Lawn’- Drag Picnic at The Empress! This picnic is just another exciting event to add to your summer roster. Enjoy a picnic experience fit for a queen. This special event is in collaboration with House of Dubet and sponsored by Chandon Sparkling Wine.

Celebrating 113 years that the Fairmont Empress has been established and been a pinnacle point of history and tourism for the city of Victoria; Lunch on the Lawn is one way that The Empress wants to give back to the communities of Victoria that have helped keep this fine establishment alive and thriving.

The picnic seating begins at noon until half past, and at one o’clock picnic goers can enjoy a spectacular array of performances. A fabulous summer event that family and friends alike can enjoy; Lunch on the Lawn-Drag Picnic promises a fun-filled afternoon, packed with delicious food, drinks and entertainment! 

Enjoy a picnic on The Empress’s iconic lawn, surrounded by their lovely gardens and enjoy a glass of bubbly alongside an al fresco meal; all set against the stunning backdrop of Victoria’s renowned inner harbour 

If you wish to enjoy all the picnic festivities but have a harbour facing view with your picnic spot, you can reserve your spot ahead of time and bask in the show with your blankets, pillows, and a basket filled with delicious upscale food. You can also upgrade your experience with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne, or cocktails from the full Q Bar menu.
