Perched on the 18th floor of Victoria’s beloved locally owned hotel, the Chateau Victoria, you can expect the same breathtaking 360 degree city and harbour views from Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge as always. But, Vista 18 has a refreshing new direction to serve up to its guests in this post-COVID era, including a freshly renovated space and an inspired new management team, bringing an invigorated energy to its dining experience. We can easily sum up their new concept in three words: authentic, local, elevated.
Authentic
Vista 18 doesn’t lean on its views to ensure their guests have a memorable time here. Committed to first-class customer service by creating authentic connections, it’s apparent their team loves what they do and are proud of the quality of product they serve while still being fun and approachable.
Local
Being locally owned and operated, Vista’s menu highlights the very best ingredients our island and province have to offer. Chef Mike Dunlop and his culinary team are always looking at sourcing ethical and local products to construct their menu which features international flavours with a West Coast twist. “A great local example is our chicken which is sourced from Woodgate Farms in Saanichton.” says Alex Mayrhofer, F&B Manager.
Elevated
Vista 18 is Victoria’s only ‘elevated’ restaurant. They have a high bar to reach in terms of striving to ensure everything they do parallels the unmatched view of our spectacular capital city and its inner harbour. At sunrise or sunset, their focus is making sure you have a truly ‘elevated’ culinary experience.
