The Victoria Pride Festival returns with new offerings!

This year’s Pride Festival in the Park has been re-imagined to create a multifaceted queer-themed festival for people of all ages. From live music to fun activities to drag story time and more, there will be something for everyone. This includes more than 20 food options to satisfy whatever craving you might have. There’s also a kids’ corner with a dedicated stage and fun activities like a virtual reality simulator, soccer activation, bouncy castle and more. The venue is open from 10:00am to 8:00pm.

An exciting addition to the Festival in the Park is the Vicious Poodle Pride Lounge. Purchase tickets to receive priority festival access, premium seating with a direct view of the stage, separate washrooms, and meet and greets with some of the main stage performers. Premium drinks and signature cocktails will also be offered. Tickets are $40 when purchased in advance and $50 at the door.

The Festival features celebrated drag performers Isolde N. Barron and Peach Cobblah hosting, and opening is the beloved funk, soul, high energy dance band Queer As Funk. Local drag performers will also take part in a lip-sync battle and closing out the showcase is local powerhouse and crowd pleaser, Ange Hehr.

The much-anticipated Victoria Pride Parade hits the streets at 11:00am on Sunday, June 26 with the new route taking marchers east over the Johnson Street Bridge then south onto Wharf Street, before turning onto Government, Bellville and Menzies Streets.

Victoria Pride Festival is presented by the Victoria Pride Society shining a light on diversity, equity and inclusion. Other events include Youth Kick-Off (June 23), the Big Gay Dog Walk (June 24), the Memorial Drag Ball Game (July 1) and Pride In The Word (July 2.) Come and celebrate our theme: Pride In You!
