Victoria’s food scene just got a little warmer with the opening of a new ramen spot that’s bringing comforting bowls of broth and noodles to Broadmead Shopping Centre. With hand-crafted ramen crafted from traditional Japanese techniques and a broth simmered for eight hours to perfection, this new spot brings a taste of Japan to the city.

Raku Ramen started doing pop-ups in Fudo Japanese Restaurant in Broadmead Shopping Centre in September and thanks to the response and feedback from Victoria food lovers it is here to stay.

Chefs at Raku Ramen have mastered the art of ramen by learning traditional techniques in Japan and gaining hands-on experience in local ramen shops in Tokyo, bringing the rich and intricate flavours of traditional Japanese ramen to Saanich. Each bowl is crafted with the highest quality ingredients and made from scratch, balancing taste, texture, and warmth to create a comforting yet sophisticated dining experience. With a variety of broth options—including tonkotsu, shio (salt), shoyu (soy), and spicy broth bases —there’s a bowl to suit every palate.

A great thing about Raku Ramen is the variety of options available to choose from—aside from Raku Ramen’s menu, guests can order anything from Fudo Japanese Restaurant’s menu: sushi, nigiri, tempura, bento boxes, and more.

Raku Ramen is the only place that offers the traditional Japanese dish in the area, and with the combination of deeply flavourful broths, fresh noodles, and toppings that hit the perfect flavour balance, it’s set to become a go-to for chilly days and cozy date nights alike.

In celebration of its grand opening, guests can enjoy a complimentary appetizer with each bowl of ramen from Nov. 4 through Nov. 30. Guests can choose from a California roll, yam roll, or wakame salad.
