Top 5 Mother’s day experiences at the Bay Centre
Our moms, grandmas, foster moms, stepmoms, surrogate moms, moms-to-be and other mother figures do a lot for us, and Mother’s Day is the perfect time to say thanks. Just in time for Mother’s Day, we have rounded up the Top 5 Bay Centre Experiences to share with the mother figures in your life.
1. Streetside Style – with Blo Victoria and Earls Kitchen & bar
Whether it’s just you and your mother figure or a group of moms that support each other, brunch just hits differently when you are sharing it with loved ones. We are big fans of Earls Kitchen + Bar’s Happy Hour Brunch offered from 10 am until noon on weekends. Our fave is the prawn benedict paired with a watermelon mimosa enjoyed on their sunny streetside patio for a west coast-inspired brunch. Once complete, roll out the pink carpet with a signature hair styling session for you and yours at Blo Victoria, Vancouver Island’s only blow dry bar–making for the most relaxing start to the day.
2. Enjoy a Social Scoop with Scenic Views
A stroll along the Salish Sea at the inner harbour isn’t complete without a stop for ice cream. If you are exploring downtown Victoria, be sure to check out Marble Slab Creamery at the Bay Centre. With 50 premium ice cream flavours and 32 unlimited mixin options to choose from, there is a perfect flavour combo for all of your loved ones. Enjoy in a cup or level up your experience with a hand-rolled, in-house-made waffle cone dipped in white chocolate. Note: vegan ice cream options are available.
Seeking nostalgia? Marble Slab Creamery has collaborated with Pop Shoppe pairing their retro craft soda with their ice cream for the most delicious floats.
Marble Slab Creamery is open daily from 11 am to 10 pm. Located at the View Street entrance of the Bay Centre.
3. Mother’s Day Market – with Market Collective
A mini-market experience awaits! Created by the Market Collective, Mother’s Day Market features 35 local makers, artists, and food producers at the Bay Centre Saturday, May 7th & Sunday, May 8th. Door prize for the first 100 shoppers available on both days PLUS enter to win a $600 gift basket. This is your chance to meet 35 talented artisans and support grassroots and Canadian artisans and makers.
Photo features Amoda Golden Tumeric mix and Martha’s Delectables shortbread found at the Victoria Market Collective.
4. Mind Over Matcha – with GoodLife Fitness & Big Orange
Those who train together, stay together. Energize for the day with an iced Japanese Green Milk Tea from Big Orange, complete with extra tapioca pearls. Take a pause and practice mobility and mindfulness with a drop-in yoga class at GoodLife Fitness Bay Centre to boost endorphins.
5. Sip and Shop – with Owly Café & Chai Fashions
Sugar and spice, with chai this good you’ll want to enjoy it twice! Start your day at Owly café with a warm chai latte and a signature whoopie cookie to go. Pop over to locally owned Chai Fashions to sip and shop a selection of sustainably designed dresses and silk wraps designed locally and manufactured through local partnerships in India.
