Victoria Beer Society to have its return of Victoria Beer Week for 2022

Calling all craft beer lovers! The Victoria Beer Society is officially bringing back Beer Week! This collection of week-long festivals includes a variety of fun events over nine days. Victoria Beer Week first launched back in 2014 and now has officially come back for 2022 with all the best craft beers to enjoy and various events to attend.

What’s coming 2022

Victoria Beer Society is back in full swing and is working on a full calendar for 2022 which will include their popular and flagship events; Victoria Beer Week and the Great Canadian Beer Festival. Other future ventures and opportunities to engage VBC’s local and loyal craft beer lovers are also in the works. Events through the Victoria Beer Society will be focused on a variety of things including beer advocating programming, while other events will focus on culture and community-based interaction and building. All events needless to say will also feature a broad and diverse selection of BC craft beers, including new and old favourites.

General info/tickets

The 8th annual festival celebrating Victoria’s craft beer culture will return after two years and includes a mix of 18 events over 9 days, including some favourite events from past years, a full curriculum of Beer School classes, and some exciting new twists. The week opens with Lift Off! on Fri., Apr. 1 — a special night featuring over a dozen brand new beers — and closes with Touchdown on Apr. 9, a brand new event to close out the week at their new flagship location, the Powerhouse.

New events to the lineup include Dubbel Down at the Victoria Public Market, an event featuring Belgian style beers and inspired cuisine, and Pint-Sized Stores, a craft beer improv night by Paper Street Theatre and Wes Borg. There’s also a combination of two original Beer Week favourites, Barrels & Casks, a special event celebrating the world of both cask-conditioned and barrel-aged beers.

Food and beer lovers can get their fill at Taco the Town, the Brewmasters Dinner, hosted by Driftwood Brewery and the Rock Bay Market, and Beer + Pizza night hosted by Herald Street Brewing in partnership with Vagabond Pies.
