Victoria is known for its incredible craft beer scene, and this summer, our local breweries are proving it. So, in celebration, we have compiled a list of some awesome patios to sit out on this summer, and some of the best and most unique brews they offer.

Whistle Buoy Brewing Company

Whistle Buoy Brewing Company’s famous patio in the heart of downtown is the ideal place to meet with friends on a warm summer’s day. Among its current brews on its frequently rotating tap are an aqua-coloured Undersea Blue Gose, a Strawberry Sour in tribute to Barbie, and a Spray Tan Tangerine Wit.

Small Gods Brewing

Located in Sidney, Small Gods Brewing is a fantastic brewer that just took home gold at the Canadian Brewing Awards. Its patio is a social hub and the perfect spot to enjoy a Genji Japanese Lager, a Rouenna Passionfruit Kiwi Sour, or a Sunset Boulevard Blue-Raspberry Kristalwiesen. The brewery also offers up food with tasty options like The Nonna, a meatball sandwich with provolone and arugula.

Superflux {Cabana}

Superflux {Cabana} has a gorgeous patio where you can enjoy its own brews and delicious food. It's on-tap selection includes Craft Beer Is Dead, an IPA with centennial and citra cryo hops, and The Creamery {Strawberry Cheesecake}, a fruit beer with strawberry, vanilla, graham crumbs, and cheesecake. Pair your beer with a delicious fried chicken sandwich or veggie club.

Moon Under Water

Moon Under Water’s patio is the perfect spot for both you and your pup! The brewery recently announced its dog menu, complete with chicken stew and dog beer. Enjoy your own human beer with choices like Creepy Uncle Dunkel, a dark Munich lager, or Lightside of the Moon, a session lager with rice malts and orange peel.

Ile Sauvage Brewing

Ile Sauvage Brewing has the perfect patio if you are a lover of sour and wild beers. Notable mentions include its indigo coloured Papillon Saison, its Melon A Trois Gose, and its Sitka Sour. The brewery also offers tasty food options like pulled pork sandwiches, tuna poke bowls, and spicy chicken sliders.

Driftwood Brewery

Enjoy a cold beer at Driftwood Brewery’s sunny patio this summer. Brews currently on tap include a White Bark Witbier, a SPIFF Corn Lager, and a Raised by Wolves IPA. Pair your beer with some of the brewery’s food offerings, like its bao buns, chicken wings, or chiang mai sausages.
