Victoria restaurants with special New Year’s Eve plans
It’s almost the last day of 2022—and the first time in two years that some of us can get together en masse and count down the year’s final moments.It’s bound to be exciting, and a few restaurants are pulling out all the stops with one-of-a-kind menus to keep your palette punching with beautiful dishes and boozy (or not boozy) drinks.Check them out below.
The Fairmont Empress’ New Year’s Eve Gala
Since 1919, the Fairmont Empress has put on the most epic New Year’s Eve gala. Put on your best black tie, and head to the historic Crystal Ballroom for live music, cocktails, and a four-course dinner from 8pm-1am. This is a 19+ event—$329 per adult. Book between six and 12 in one party.

Agrius
The chefs at this organic-focused restaurant have put together a six-course tasting menu. For the full experience, its sommelier has two tiers of wine pairings: the Good Fun, or Fancy Fun options. Agrius is also offering a vegetarian tasting menu, but cannot provide gluten or dairy-free options.

Clive’s Classic Lounge
There are only a handful of spots available for Clive’s combination Campari Red Party and Supper Club. Starting at 7:30pm on Dec. 31, enjoy an eight-course dinner paired with cocktails and rare and “eclectic” spirits, according to Clive’s. There are only 16 spots, each worth $300.

Craft Beer Market
The countdown at Craft includes a four-course dinner (with a vegetarian option) and a welcome cocktail, house beer, wine, or champagne. There will be a live DJ all night and tickets are $90.

LURE Restaurant & Bar
LURE’s head chef is offering a special New Year’s Eve menu, and if you’re looking to head to LURE’s domes, book six friends now and you’re in for the night (and with a minimum $500 group spend limit). Restaurant reservations for parties of one to six are available with minimum spending of $50 per person.

Head to Oak Bay for executive chef Kreg Graham’s champagne pairings and special tasting menu this New Year’s Eve. Buy tickets here—priced at $329 per ticket. Max six guests per party.

Bar500 at the Oswego Hotel has put together a four-course dinner including local oysters, Fraser Valley duck ragu, almond and pistachio-crusted halibut, and a chocolate sunflower dessert. Service begins at 5pm.

Saveur Restaurant
Saveur Restaurant’s award-winning chef, Robert Cassels, is delivering a French-inspired New Year’s Eve eight-course dinner menu priced at $325 per person. Add a wine pairing for $125 per person. Double up the next morning for a New Year’s Day brunch at Saveur for $95, too.
