Victoria’s newest vegan donut shop is Frickin’ Delights Donuts

Calling all vegan eaters and donut lovers, Frickin’ Delights Donuts is the newest donut shop to come to the island and its official soft opening is kicking off this month. Right in the heart of downtown Victoria, Frickin’ Delights Donuts is calling Yates Street home.

Who doesn’t love donuts? I donut about you but donuts are a dessert lover staple. At Frickin’ Delights, Donuts, vegan and donuts go together harmoniously to craft amazingly delightful and delicious, 100% vegan donuts. Frickin’ Delights Donuts was founded in 2013 by husband and wife Cory and Mandy Woytkiw in a converted laundry room in Devon, Alberta. Now after almost 10 years, they are opening a location in Victoria.

“It has been our dream to call this city home. We are proud to bring to you what we love doing and look forward to learning, creating, and growing in this community. We have been welcomed with kindness, enthusiasm, and tremendous support, which we are beyond grateful for,” said the pair in a statement on their Facebook page.

This 100% vegan donut shop offers an array of flavours — 94 flavours and counting so far — and six flavours a day, which are subject to change. Some of their current flavours include chocolate blackberry, chocolate berry coconut, mocha, vanilla bean matcha, and more. Their donuts are crafted with care and skill, using ingredients like soft brown sugar, sea salt, coconut milk, local wholegrain flour, applesauce, and all donuts are egg-free.
