Your local guide to Valentine’s Day 2021 in Victoria
Grab your Valentine—it’s time to celebrate that special someone in your life! Over the past few months, we have all spent a lot of time with our significant others or household bubble, but that is no excuse to skip Valentine’s Day this year.
Having to stay local for Valentine’s Day is not that hard when you live in one of Canada’s most romantic cities. For the past several years, Victoria has placed high on Amazon Canada‘s list of most romantic cities in Canada. Even after losing the number one spot last February, Victoria continues to be a city that captures the magic of love.
Whether you choose to stay in or go out, here is a list of some local restaurants and businesses offering special Valentine’s Day deals you and your partner are sure to love:
Rain Dogs Wine Bar
Rain Dogs Wine Bar presents a Valentine’s Tasting Menu and an optional drink pairing for you and your sweetie to enjoy.
The two offerings for the evening:Seating at 5pm: three-course menu for $85.Seating at 8pm: five-course menu for $105.Both offerings include a tasting menu and a glass of bubbly upon your arrival.

Oak Bay Beach Hotel
Nothing says romance like Valentine’s Day at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. Executive Chef Kreg Graham is presenting a few different options for Valentine’s Day celebrations this year.
1. Valentine’s Brunch for Two in The Dining Room.
The Valentine’s Brunch for Two menu is $95/pair and includes a welcome mimosa and three-course menu.

2. Valentine’s Dinner for Two in The Dining Room
Start your romantic evening with a dazzling Valentine’s Dinner for Two in The Dining Room. The menu is $250/pair and includes a welcome cocktail, bottle of wine, and a four-course menu.

3. Valentine’s Dinner for Two at Home
Planning on staying in this year? No problem! Executive chef Kreg Graham has you covered.
Experience a specially curated three-course Valentine’s Dinner for Two as a takeout option. The menu features local charcuterie, fresh pasta with prawns, and small desserts.
The menu starts at $115/pair. Add on options are also available. Orders are required by or before Feb. 11.
Saveur Restaurant
An intimate French contemporary-inspired fine dining experience at Saveur restaurant is sure to impress your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day. Saveur Restaurant and chef Robert Cassels are offering a $95/person four-course menu all through Valentine’s Day weekend.

Take-home options
The Proper Table
Missing travelling to new places? Experience an NYC-themed dinner in your own home.
The Proper Table is offering a $325/pair take-home 3-course menu that includes place settings, table decor, and florals to complete your at-home NYC experience.
Prepared by Toque Catering, the evening begins with a starter of apple marinated quail breasts, followed by three choices for mains—veal, halibut, or cauliflower steaks—and finishes with a decadent dessert of a balsamic berry salad. The three-course meal is paired with an exclusive themed cocktail, “Love Never Sours,” from Twist Victoria.

The Keg Steakhouse + Bar
The Keg is presenting a delicious three-course takeout menu all Valentine’s Day weekend. The menu features a Caesar Salad, a choice of filet mignon or New York striploin with a lobster tail, and finishes with a slice of Billy Miner pie.
The three-course takeout Valentine’s Day dinner is $65/ person and is available from Feb. 12 – 15 (pre-orders begin Feb. 6).
Inn at Laurel Point – Inn at Home
The Inn at Laurel Point is offering some tasty Valentine’s Day treats and meals for curbside pick-up.

Celebrate Victoria
Looking to satisfy your sweet tooth this Valentine’s Day? Check out Celebrate Victoria’s Valentine’s Sweets Grazing Boxes. These curated boxes of candies and other tasty goodies are great gifts for your significant other, friends, or whoever needs some love this Valentine’s Day.
The boxes come in two different sizes: the standard size is $40 and the petite size is $20.

Bon Macaron Patisserie
This Valentine’s Day, Bon Macaron Patisserie is offering a private Valentine’s workshop for two. The workshop will teach you and your Valentine how to make macarons from one of Bon Macaron Patisserie’s chefs.
This private workshop is the ultimate date day! The two-hour workshop is $300 for two and will focus on making a heart-shaped macaron cake and two other flavours. You will also get a chance to sip some prosecco and, of course, sample the shop’s macarons.
The Valentine’s Workshop is available for purchase until Feb. 14. The workshop can be redeemed any time after purchase and does not expire.
Cheese and Meat Festival
You can never go wrong with a charcuterie board paired with a nice bottle of wine! Impress your sweetheart with a Valentine’s Day take-home package from the Cheese and Meat Festival.
