Amazing Race contestants visited this Vancouver Island food truck

The Amazing Race Canada has been all over Vancouver Island this summer, including the Malahat Skywalk, the Craigdarroch Castle, and the Bug Zoo.

One of our favourite stops contestants visited? Tacofino.

Tacofino has long been the go-to food truck and restaurant on Vancouver Island for great tex-mex tacos and burritos at a decent price.

Kaeli Robinsong and Jason Sussman started Tacofino in 2009 from humble beginnings in a surf shop parking lot in Tofino. Now, it's grown to nine restaurants and food truck locations in Vancouver, Victoria, and Tofino—with a new location opening up this fall in Langford at the Westshore Town Centre.

While we won’t give away any spoilers, there are two Vancouver Island groups competing: Allie and Eddie, and Tyler and Kayleen. Most notably, Tyler Turner is a Paralympic gold medalist.

The Amazing Race Canada is in its ninth season, which began airing in July. The finale will air sometime in September, and you can watch it on-demand through Crave or on CTV at 9pm.
