To celebrate the season, we’ve rounded up a selection of restaurants offering dishes that capture the essence of autumn. Whether you’re in the mood for something warm and savoury or a sweet, spiced treat, these spots are serving up meals that perfectly embody the flavours of fall.
Nothing warms you up on a chilly, rainy day like a good bowl of ramen. Ramen Arashi serves up some of the best bowls in the city. Enjoy authentic tonkotsu, spicy tonkotsu, Arashi tan tan, yuzu shio, and more. The Victoria location is pretty small, cozy, and offers friendly service. They serve appetizers and lunch specials too.

Another dish that will warm you up this season is tortilla soup from La Taquisa. Tortilla soup, known as "sopa de tortilla" or sometimes "sopa azteca," is a traditional Mexican dish with deep cultural roots. It is made from tomato-based broth topped with fried tortilla strips, cheese, and sour cream. Its comforting flavours and simple ingredients make it a beloved dish for everyone. La Taquisa also offers a vegan tortilla soup option.

Aside from their delicious organic and handmade bread and pastries, which are great all year long, the bakery serves coffee and one of our favourites for this season is their oatmeal cookie latte. A delicious, dessert-inspired coffee drink that combines the comforting flavours of an oatmeal cookie with the richness of a latte, making it the perfect drink for the fall and winter months, as it captures the warm, spiced essence of the season. Another drink to keep on your radar is the apple crisp matcha, a fusion between a traditional apple crisp and a matcha latte, offering both a dessert-like treat and the richness of matcha.
