Dine Around and Stay in Town is back in Victoria in 2024

One of Victoria’s most iconic food festivals is coming back to town in 2024—if you’re a die-hard foodie looking to indulge in local food and drink (as well as, perhaps, some fine accommodations for the night), this one’s undoubtedly for you.

Dine Around and Stay in Town is running in Victoria from Jan. 26 to Feb. 22, 2024. It is a food-oriented festival featuring a dozen hotels and more than 45 different restaurants in the Greater Victoria area, giving you the chance to try a variety of unique cuisines at a great price point.

Participants have the opportunity to choose from several set menus at different price points: $25, $35, $45, $55 or $65, and take advantage of special room rates from participating hotels ranging from $149 to $269.

Some of the participating restaurants include L’Apero Wine & Cheese Bistro, Wind Cries Mary and Virtuous Pie, as well as more familiar chains like the Keg, Earls, and Browns Socialhouse. As for accommodations, options range from the Fairmont to Hotel Grand Pacific and beyond.

“When Dine Around and Stay in Town started in 2004, the idea was to create a special event that would help both local businesses and the public, celebrate the growing food scene, and support restaurants during the off-peak season,” said Paul Nursey, CEO of Destination Greater Victoria.

“Today, the event is incredibly popular and Victoria’s food scene is hailed as one of the best in the world. Chefs, restaurateurs, and hoteliers continue to push boundaries to elevate the visitor experience, making the region a must-visit spot for local and out-of-town foodies.”

The Dine Around and Stay in Town Gala will take place on Jan. 25 at the Victoria Conference Centre (with tickets still available to anyone 19 years of age or older) and will feature tasters from local Victoria restaurants, BC wineries, craft breweries as well as live entertainment. Restaurants are expected to showcase their Dine Around menus and take reservations from guests on site—from there, Dine Around and Stay in Town anticipates hosting hundreds of exciting dining experiences during the 17-day program.
