Winner’s Spotlight: Red Fish Blue Fish
This summer, enjoy the sunshine and try out the best seafood restaurants, as voted by you in our 2022 Best Restaurant Awards, presented by Portofino Bakery. Red Fish Blue Fish has been voted #1 in the best seafood category, sponsored by Cascadia Seaweed.
With outdoor seating spread out on a wooden pier, diners at Red Fish Blue Fish have a front row seat to Victoria’s busy Inner Harbour. Seaplanes, boats, and the occasional seal, come and go, and as the sun sets over the water, it’s tough to find a better view. The restaurant appeared on the Today Show, and land a segment on Food Network Canada’s Eat Street, and it has become one of Victoria’s most cherished eateries.
Taking an earth-friendly approach to the classic fish ‘n chip shop, RFBF features sustainable, grab-and-go seafood. They’re an Ocean Wise partner, serving only locally caught seafood, compost all takeout containers, utensils and food waste, and recycle all bottles and cans.
From February to November, you’ll find it serving up seafood grilled to perfection or tempura battered and fried crisp to locals and travellers from all around the world.
If you want the full Red Fish Blue Fish experience try their tacones: grilled flour tortilla with coleslaw, pea shoots, sauce, lemon-pickled onions with your choice of fresh fish or go vegetarian with yam tempura, we love their classic fish & chips and their chowders are a must.
Open 11am-7pm, 7 days a week
