😋 What is happening in Victoria's food scene this week?

Good morning foodies!

This week we are bringing you a story about a new restaurant opening in Esquimalt later this month, as well as a list of coffee shops to try this fall. As the weather cools down, we’re craving cozy cafes to curl up in.

Over on the mainland, the Michelin Guide announced the latest Vancouver winners, and it got us thinking who would deserve that kind of honour from our restaurant scene in Victoria.

🍔 Kahuna Burger: Hawaiian fare like burgers, poké bowls, north shore shrimp, and more at 515 Chatham.  

🦞 Marilena Cafe + Raw Bar: The award-winning restaurant has become a local favourite for its outstanding service and high-quality dishes at 1525 Douglas. 

🥢 Wah Lai Yuen: A local staple in Chinatown serving baked goods and Chinese food at 560 Fisgard.

Janevca Kitchen and Lounge is set to open Oct. 23

The highly anticipated restaurant inside the newly restored Rosemead House in Esquimalt will officially open its doors in a couple of weeks and we couldn’t be more excited. The executive chef is a former finalist on the cooking competition show Top Chef Canada, with experience leading renowned Vancouver restaurants like Osteria Savio Volpe and CinCin Ristorante.

Victoria local just launched a sleep podcast named Pepperoni Pizza Dreams where she reads restaurant menus to help you relax, unwind, and hopefully fall asleep.
